Gareth Jones has enjoyed a long and successful career in healthcare management in both public and the private sector in Europe and the Middle East.  Joining the NHS in Wales at entry level Gareth ultimately held the position of Contracts and Procurement Manager for West Glamorgan Health Authority which encompassed primary, secondary and tertiary care facilities across a wide catchment area.

Gareth subsequently relocated to Saudi Arabia where he progressed to become the Project Director for the Armed Forces Hospital Programme, Southern Region. This was a comprehensive healthcare system serving the very diverse needs of a large patient population from ambulatory care to obstetrics to cardiac care and renal transplant programmes. In an interval between contracts in the Middle-East Gareth spent four years as Director of the Manchester Clinic the Private Wing of Manchester Royal Infirmary in England overseeing its development as a very viable business entity.

Ultimately Gareth relocated to Ireland where he held the position of CEO at Bon Secours Hospital, Dublin. During his tenure, the hospital became the first in Ireland to gain JCI Accreditation. Gareth then subsequently led four successful JCI Re-Accreditations. Gareth has also undertaken a number of short-term overseas consultancy assignments during his career including visits to Abu Dhabi, Belgrade, Istanbul, Monaco and Stockholm. Gareth is an active partner in 3rdCurve and recently spent some time in South East Asia advising on a potential private healthcare campus in that locality. Gareth’s diverse career and level of achievement allow him to draw on a wealth of practical experience through senior executive exposure to very different, challenging healthcare environments.
